Inchcape dealerships are now reaping the benefits of using digital deal files following the installation of iDealFILE at 86 sites across the UK.
In 2016 iDealFILE ran a pilot programme at one of Inchcape’s Mercedes-Benz locations which gave key personnel a chance to see the platform in action and understand more about the business benefits it could provide.
Following this successful trial, iDealFILE was rolled out across Inchcape’s entire Mercedes-Benz division in 2017.
As well as delivering immediate savings in terms of paper, printing, storage and retrieval costs, the rollout also gave the project team an opportunity to discuss further system refinements in line with Inchcape’s sales processes and ongoing retailer feedback.
Following more development from the iDealFILE team, Inchcape management decided to install the electronic deal file platform across the entire group and, 86 franchise locations later, the project team completed the final implementation in August 2019.
Emma Freeman, Head of Compliance at Inchcape Retail, commented on the collaborative approach that has made the project such a success: “The team at iDealFILE has always been very receptive to suggestions made to improve the system. Today’s functionality is partly a reflection of the feedback we have given and the team’s willingness to build it into iDealFILE’s development roadmap.”
Following the Inchcape rollout, iDealFILE is now installed at over 220 locations across the UK with a further 120 due for implementation in the coming months.
